Audio - Q and A session with director Michelle Deignan on her film BREAKING GROUND: THE STORY OF THE LONDON IRISH WOMEN'S CENTRE

breaking-ground-1-large-888x489Irish director Michelle Deignan presented her film Breaking Ground the Story of the London Irish Women's Centre at this year's edition of the Cork Film Festival. It is the story of Irish feminism in London and an intimate portrayal of an Irish support group that was born out of the frustration with Irish female cultural and social discrimination. The documentary was shown yesterday at the Gate Cinema and was well received by the audience in attendance. Michelle Deignan followed the screening with a Q and A session where she talked about the film's production and discussed the importance of voluntary support groups like the London Irish Women's Centre.
