"LEGO is possibly the toy that has remained unchanged and consistently popular with many generations ever since it was created. THE LEGO MOVIE celebrated it with an appropriate coating of nostalgia, and a creativeness that by nitpicking from familiar narratives is successful at representing the imagination of anyone who ever played with the beloved blocks of happiness.

It is the story of an ordinary LEGO construction worker living in a blatantly totalitarian world who is thought to be the "special" and recruited to join a quest to prevent an evil tyrant from gluing the LEGO universe together, thus leading it to a state of eternal stasis.

THE LEGO MOVIE is as adventurous and action packed as it is legitimately funny, also featuring some colourful voice acting, by such names a CHRIS PRATT, LIAM NEESON and WILL FERRELL. But apart from it being entertaining, it is also surprisingly deepened by some legitimate emotional traits and unexpected warmth.

The animation is beautiful. Despite the spectacular computer generated effects, the film remains true to the distinctively blocky style of the toy on which it is based, not only in its sets but also in the movement of its figures, thus it easily stands out from other animation features."
