"A tennis player plans the murder of his wealthy wife, which will ensure him a wealthy inheritance. However, when it’s time to execute the plan, not all goes according to plan. Dial M for Murder is ambitious in its early attempts at 3D cinematography but is definitely most noticeable for being, along with Rope and to a certain extent Rear Window, a flawless theatrical cinematic experience of murderous suspense. The screenplay by Knotts is witty and intense, and that intensity is brought to the big screen in a skilful and skilfully planned way by the renowned master of suspense. Hitchcock also reunited with one of his reoccurring stars, Great Kelly, who turns in a great performance and is simply a wonderful presence on screen."
