The Kids Are All Right is a modern family drama with a fresh screenplay, and while the film drags a little, the way in which Cholodenko handles the delicate storyline and theme of homosexuality so naturally is admirable and shows a sign of cinematic evolution. The performances of the cast help elevate the film’s standards."
