"A poor kid who is forced to earn his living by putting on puppet shows on the streets also struggles to re-unite his divorced parents. 

The Balloon Vendor is a laughably and unspairingly over dramatic film. To top it off, it is directed very clumsily. Strange to see a classic Hollywood character actor like Lee J. Cobb involved in such a poor cinematic show.
