"A struggling screenwriter finds himself in deep trouble when his screwball friends kidnap the Shih Tzu of a Los Angeles gangster. The key word here is ‘psychopath’ and not only describes the characters but also the mess of the screenplay that attempts to cram so much stuff in it that in the end it spirals out of control. Essentially, this film is an exponent of the writers’ block film, the one where a screenplay’s own brain overload or lack of idea leads him down a path of putting pen to paper and making sense out of many ideas that popped out in the screenwriter’s head when trying to write his next feature. Such experiments have worked amazingly well not only in literature but also in cinema, and notable examples could easily be quoted. But clear inconsistencies in the film’s pace and narrative show that this is not just a jugged screenplay but also an imperfect film."
