"Di Caprio plays a dual role as the spoiled French monarch Louis XIV and his twin brother whom he imprisoned in an island covering his face in an iron mask, in this tale of aged Three Muskateers. The film does not spare us some uncomfortable moments, like Depardieu, the only real Frenchman, playing an embarrassing stereotype, or the dullness of the whole story that can get quite predictable. Worthy of note is Di Caprio himself, who plays the two roles well and rid himself, if ever there was any need, of the label of teen idol after his big success in Titanic."
