"Despite this Walt Disney feature being over half a century old, it still feels like the ultimate cinematic translation of the famous works by Lewis Carroll. This 1951 version of Alice in Wonderland draws inspiration from his works, as we follow young Alice follow the white rabbit into a strange and bizarre world.

There are a number of flaws that plague this film. For instance, the whole narrative of the film and the concept of the journey seems a little rushed. There is no particularly good gelling element to make this anything other than a run through of a series of events.

Despite this, the animation is very good and creative, and the aura of surrealism, which to some extent even significantly set the trend for works that was to follow it, particularly future colourful production of the same story, makes it visually delightful and quite entertaining."
