"Bagnomaria is the title of the film and the name of the beach in Versilia, Italy, in which a bunch of extravagant characters roam around and meet. 

Much like Carlo Verdone had done in the seventies, Italian comedy man Giorgio Panariello tries his luck in a similarly structured film in which he plays some of his most famous TV characters. The result, however, is far less charismatic or even successful. This could also be because Bagnomaria was not produced by the likes of Sergio Leone, and overall seems far more rushed and less creative. Though it gets its laughs, it soon runs out of steam and often feels dull if not completely dead.
