"Mads Brugger, Danish journalist, goes extreme undercover as a Liberian Ambassador to embark on a dangerous journey to uncover the blood diamond trade in Africa. 

A fascinating and brave documentary made mostly of footage shot with hidden cameras, this is a rather exciting exposè also because, aside from exposing a violent and illegal trade, it also looks at its ridiculousness and almost comedic side by revealing the colourful characters that play the most vital of roles in the whole affair. 

The Ambassador is highly entertaining, yet, it would be legitimate to argue that it is also rather inconclusive and fails to make any grand and unique final statement. Nevertheless, one can't fail to point out that it is not preachy either, but rather openly provocative."
