"Nora is a nurse of conventional taste who is preparing for imminent marriage. However, she is also quite unaware of the double life she leads as a nightwalker, when she transforms into a seductive temptress and even seduces a wealthy lawyer whom she appears to dislike during the day.

HALF ANGEL is a screwball comedy with an apparently solid premise. However, the energy of the film wears down as the joke grows thin and, despite the length that barely exceeds the hour and a quarter mark, slightly repetitive.

Its entertainment value is elevated, however, by a colourful performance by the lovely LORETTA YOUNG who seems quite at ease in alternating her character's personalities. However, her character development seems a little too rushed and this particularly makes the romantic side of the story a little too bewildering, while JOSEPH COTTEN's talent remains widely and disappointingly unused."
