"A wealthy middle aged Don Juan receives an unsigned typewritten letter from an old flame that informs him he has a twenty year old son on the day his most recent girlfriend has decided to gove up on him for good. Spurred on by his detective wanna be neighbour, he sets off on a road trip to discover who wrote him the letter.

Aggressively awkward but laconically minimalist, BROKEN FLOWERS may not be one of the best and most creative films by JIM JARMUSCH, but it is perhaps the ultimate anti-road movie.

Defined by a deadpan sense of humour, the film offers a showcase for BILL MURRAY, who plays such characters with excellent poignancy, supported by an array of great female actresses to play his former lovers, such as TILDA SWINTON, SHARON STONE and JESSICA LANGE."
