Midnight in Paris is also coated with a veil of nostalgia, and conveys a somewhat universal feeling of being born in the wrong age. Allen’s film is also a wonderful tribute to the city of Paris, showing it in all its glory and celebrating it as a muse for a lot of the greatest creative work ever made. It also has a fable like feeling, and bizarrely earns a title for the most tasteful and least conventional but nevertheless entertaining and delightful time travelling film ever made."
