"The miser and parsimonious father of a girl has planned her daughter’s wedding; his plans however are shaken when a young man she briefly met years before returns with the goal of marrying her. Govi, a popular Italian theatre comedian, takes his go at the cinema medium with this comedy; however, the medium does not seem to make his eccentric personality as much justice as it did others like Totó. Lea Padovani, who at the time was Orson Welles fiancée, stars in her first film."
