"A truck driver leading a solitary life agrees to take a woman and her five month old daughter from Asunciòn in Paraguay to Buenos Aires in Argentina. A long and silent journey in which neither of them speaks much. The road, however, inevitably helps them bond and connect on an emotional level in an almost inevitable and natural way.

Las Acacias bu Pablo Giorgelli is a remarkable film in which time and space seem to come to a halt. The changes in the mood and atmosphere are disharmingly honest and realistic, as well as almost imperceptible and yet relentless. All throughout, we the viewers experience the journey as if we were sitting on the truck with the characters.

The fact that the film is rather audaciously experimental may prove a task for some viewers looking for less of an eyebrow and arthouse approach. Nevertheless, anyone willing to hop on for the ride will find Las Acacias a rewarding challenge on numerous levels."
