Director Sam Mendes brings to the table a spectacularly lush cinematographic style that makes Skyfall stand out among the many 007 films, giving it a visual identity of its own. The same cannot be said about the story, that follows an all too familiar formula, and most disappointingly the villain's personal reasoning behind his revenge plot is only implied and lacks enough layers for the film not too seem too lengthy in the end."
