"Zeffirelli adapts another classic, the famous novel by Charlotte Bronte. Jane Eyre is an orphaned girls who had a tough childhood and falls in love with the owner of the of Thorton Hall where she takes the job as governess. Not a very distinguishing period piece, a times the screenplay can be quite dull paced. This being a Zeffirelli work, the sets and overall art direction is wonderful."
