"Another film about thieves - in After the Sunset, the pivotal couple played by Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek are lovers as well. Yet, this is hardly Bonnie and Clyde.

It's pretty clear from the beginning that everything about this film will reek of lack of originality. And indeed, it does, and as far as the narrative is concerned, there is very little of interest despite the cast of big names even in the supporting roles.

Perhaps the only redeeming factor, apart from the systematically placed action and chase sequences, is the actual cinematography that is dictated by a sunny glow, conveying the atmosphere hinted at in the film's title."
