2/3/2015 - The fifth edition of Cinema Made in Italy returns to London on the 5th of March

London's favourite Italian film festival returns to the Cinè Lumière for its fifth edition. Cinema Made in Italy will be taking place from the 5th to the 9th of March.

This year the programme presents a rich and diverse selection of films by established and new directors alike. It will include nine feature films and the short film anthalogy 9x10 Novanta. The opening film will be Greenery Will Bloom Again by renowned filmmaker Ermanno Olmi. The film is a poignant and evocative reminder of the Italian soldiers who loste their lives on the North-Eastern front during the first world war.

Another highlight will be the new film by Mid-August Lunch director Gianni Di Gregorio - Good for Nothing, another sharp witted comedy on which he collaborated with Gomorrah's Matteo Garrone for the screenplay. Pif's clever fresh take on the mob's influence on modern day Sicily, the critically acclaimed The Mafia Kills Only in the Summer, will also be screening. The film won the Best European Comedy Award at the 2014 European Film Awards.
