"The usual crowd of a quiet British bar find themselves solving a mystery to save an acquaintance from being executed unjustly during the course of one night. Though it is a rather entertaining and interesting thriller that seems to draw inspiration from the ‘claustrophobic’ works of Hitchcock, there is a slight unbalance between the comic factors and the thriller elements that lets Saloon Bar ultimately slip into an untimely farce. This is what makes it disappointing and also contributes to a pretty infuriating lack in the tension department."
