"Set in Australia, after an armed robbery, two men invest in the swindling of an old alcoholic cattle station owner who is led to believe one of them is the lost son, and that they were sent to save his cattle from a terrible draught. Milestone’s film is only epic as far as the photography is concerned; the screenplay is poor, unable to get its emotions across or portray its characters well. Its ending is also unrewarding and rushed."
