"The Barber by Michael Bafaro tells the story, set in a constantly dark small town in Alaska, about a barber who leads the unsuspected parallel life of a psychopathic serial killer. 

This character is played by Malcolm McDowell, who unleashes his "well rehearsed" sinister side in the film to such a charming degree that despite the film making it very clear that he is the bad guy, he is also convincingly attractive and even likeable. But even he can't do much about the second rate screenplay, far too formulaic and structured to really develop with any kind of tension worthy of note. 

Bafaro shows good intentions in making use of the perpetual darkness of his setting, but The Barber remains sluggish and terribly unoriginal."
