A FOREIGN AFFAIR (1948) - ♦♦♦

Directed by - Billy Wilder

"Wilder sets his film noir in post second world war Berlin, with American soldiers controlling the city, and tells the story of a love affair between an American soldier and a German show girl with a darker past. The screenplay often tangles and is not very convincing, though with time it has served as an archetype for many films that have re-used the plot in one way or another. Wilder also takes advantage of the talented cast and makes use of some nice photography."
