Starring - Jake Gyllenhaal

"ENEMY by DENIS VILLENEUVE is a thriller that revolves around the life of a college professor, who becomes obsessed with his doppelganger, after he casually spots him as an extra in an indie movie.

Quite a compelling and intriguing examination of the power of the subconscious, always ambiguous and challenging, sometimes openly recalling Kafkaesque approaches in its heavy handed focus on its psychological side. ENEMY is enjoyable and its intensity is characterised by a rather slow pace and meticulous camerawork, which together with its overall quietness also recalls silent movies.

JAKE GYLLENHAAL is excellent - he carries off playing the dual roles, two characters with subtle and yet well-defined differences, with great skill and this adds credibility to the film."
