MATT'S CINEMA DIARY: November 30 - December 6, 2015

Matt's personal experience at various cinematic screenings throughout the week. In a spanking brand new edited format. This week, screenings of SICARIO, THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO ST. MATTHEW, LATIN LOVER, ARIANNA, GIULIA AND US and SWORN VIRGIN.

This week's entry in my cinema diary is dominated by Italian cinema, and more particularly Italian contemporary cinema. That was because this week was the week of the MITTEL CINEMA FEST, which takes place annually in Prague and brings the so called best of Italian contemporary Italian cinema to Czech audience. Whether that is true or not remains to be seen, but nevertheless, I got invited to many of its screenings and I decided to go also to pay tribute to the cinema of one half of my nationality.

A quick note. For the first time, this feature is published on the website in a more elaborate way. This has been a surprisingly popular addition to the website, thus I decided to dedicate a little more time to the way in which I presented it from now on. Because, I care...awww. But the entries, as usual, are in the order in which I attended the screenigs throughout the week, and you can start it off by clicking on the text below:
