"Filmmaker Anna is going through a midlife crisis. Unable to come up with a successful film and living in a friend's garage, she is also troubled by the lack of a girlfriend in her life. However, one night she is enchanted by a woman named Katia, she writes a part for her and has her starring as the leading lady of her latest production. This production will take her on a path of self discovery.

Entertaining, clever and witty, Who's Afraid of Vagina Wolf? is not without its charm. Yet, despite its exciting narrative experimentations, some of the jokes fall flat and in the end the film's interest in escaping the niche audience corner in which most lesbian comedies are restricted get a little in the way of the work as a whole."
