"An episodic film, shot by eight different directors, that centres around the theme of infidelity. 

THE PLAYERS is a mostly lifeless and unrewardingly caricatural comedy, that often feels redundant and repetitive. It obviously banks on its search for revitalising the adult themed European comedies of the seventies and eighties, often centred around sex and satirical takes on male weaknesses and immaturity in this field. But even within its nature, it is hard to even single out one episode that is clever or even genuinely funny. 

JEAN DUJARDIN, who also directed one of the episodes, sometimes elevates the standards of the film with his embodiment of emasculating stereotypes, but the over exposure of this archetype but despite the different hats he wears, even his performances feel repetitive and underwhelming."
