"BUNNY AND CLAUDE: WE ROB CARROT PATCHES is a 1968 LOONEY TUNES animation short film, and it was the first appearance of the characters of BUNNY AND CLAUDE, inspired by the successful film BONNIE AND CLYDE.

The story, restrictive and built on a succession of gags, follows the pivotal outlaw couple as they outsmart in a number of different ways an anger prone sheriff.

It is the usual, standard LOONEY TUNES animation short. Nevertheless, its animation style is a little line heavy and outdated. Furthermore, it uses music far too much, and and disturbs a more natural comedic rhythm, unlike other similarly structured films. Besides that, the gags themselves are not the most creative, and do not necessarily represent the best of the works by the animation branch of WARNER BROS.

To top it all off, while the film cleverly bought into the success of BONNIE AND CLYDE and is somewhat of a nice little novelty short for fans of that film, on its own the two leading characters feel like watered down and stale versions of the more popular character BUGS BUNNY."
