25/4/2016 - Wroclaw's New Horizons fest unveils 2016 posters

16th T-Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival (Wroclaw, Poland) also announced some titles that will be screened in its Panorama section.

The posters of the 2016 T-Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival, which runs in Wroclaw in Poland from the 21st to the 31st of July, have been unveiled. The three main posters of the 16th edition of the festival revolve around the concept of errors, by showing imperfection on the three main cinematic mediums; film, analogue and digital.

Michał Weksler, T-Mobile New Horizons Festival Marketing Manager, noted, "The idea of generations is inextricably linked with the medium that records memories about that generation. That is why, in this year's design, various generations are represented by the form of recording moving images specific to them, whether it's analog, magnetic or digital film. None of those is error free and it is precisely the errors, distortions, and imperfections that are the subjects of our interest. Errors induce us to seek new solutions, give birth to innovations, and each new generation disrupts the existing order established by its predecessors. Distortion wrought by the new generation becomes its zeitgeist - the image of a generation."

This year's festival graphic concept is conceived by Leo Burnett Warsaw, while the Homework Graphic Studio designed the festival's graphic identification system.

In the same press release the festival also announced a few titles that will be screened in its panorama section; Sunset Song by Terence Davies, the final film by Chantal Akerman No Home Movie and Boris Without Beatrice by Denis Côté.
