"Bugs Bunny, a court jester of the Knights of the Round Table, gets on the King’s bad side when he declares that only a fool should try to take the singing sword from the black knight. As a result, he is chosen as the man to retrieve the sword, and while sneaking in the castle is an easy feat, sneaking out is much more difficult. Greatly entertaining and meticulous in its funny small details, this film is a charm and an Academy Award winning one too. Knighty Knight Bugs could well be taken as representing Looney Toons at the height of their creative powers, and the ultimate standard specimen of a specific narrative style of the Warner Brothers animation production of the time."
