FORREST GUMP (1994) - ♦♦♦♦♦

Directed by - Robert Zemeckis

Written by - Eric Roth (based on a novel by Winston Groom)

Starring - Tom Hanks

"Many films have tried to be like Forrest Gump but many have failed. Forrest Gump, portrayed by Tom Hanks in an amazing performance,  is a slow witted man who casually lives through the major events in American modern history, including the assassination of President Kennedy, the Vietnam War and the birth of the Elvis mania. The script is a winner, with its perfectly balanced and entertaining mixture of comedy, drama and sentimentality. Being a film by Zemeckis, it is also aesthetically beautiful, with amazing visuals, some of which are very innovative, like the great work done in placing Gump in genuine archive footage from the time."
