"The Punisher, an adaptation of a lesser known Marvel creation, is the story of a man getting revenge for the death of his family. In an age of countless comic book movie adaptations, Hansleigh’s film does nothing to add to the trend. It is unnecessarily violent and rather bland. John Travolta is strangely convincing as the villain, and some of the film’s graphic are quite good. However, it’s all mostly forgettable."
