"BULLETPROOF MONK is one in a long line of films based on a graphic novel. Here, the main character is a Tibetan Buddhist monk who is also the protector of an ancient scroll, and we follow him in his determinate mission to keep it away from a group of Nazis. 

The film is absolutely forgettable, but even more awkward due to its stereotypical and two dimensional character, from the leading one to his sidekick. 

Overall, it is also a waste of the talent of CHOW YUN-FAT, who has little chance to show off any skill in this third-rate screenplay that is also further plagued by a disinterested and autopiloted direction."
