Though time has taken away some of its edge, this film remains quite memorable and a great example of Hollywood majesty in bringing adult drama and racy subjects tastefully to the screen. From Here to Eternity, apart from still being one of the best films set in Pearl Harbor around the time of the infamous bombing, also represents a type of classic American cinema that has widely been lost. The film also features a great cast and some truly great performances."
