"The third and final instalment of the Back to the Future trilogy starts off with Marty McFly receiving a seventy year old letter from the Doc, informing him that he has retired in a small town in the old west. However, Marty also realises that the Doc was killed shortly after writing the letter. It is up to Marty to defy the laws of space and time to save his friend, and further complications arise after the DeLorean gets severely damaged on this particular journey.

Back to the Future Part III for the most part represents a riveting first succesful mixture of two traditionally polar opposite genres in cinema - western and science fiction.

It works very well because first and foremost, Robert Zemeckis is careful at continuing on the excitement and humour that were a real driving force in the previous two films in the trilogy, and allowed it a particularly memorable brand of daring creativity.

Further credit goes to Back to the Future Part III in providing the perfectly satisfying send off to the characters of Marty and Doc."
