Along with its stylised violence and gripping thriller, one can appreciate the many references to family drama with which it is essentially infused. The film is prone to excesses, and the screenplay sometimes struggles to legitimise the relationship between the characters. Nevertheless, it moves at an entertaining pace and is resolved by a rewarding final showdown."
