"Another Wes Anderson gem as this time he influenced by British cinema in his film about an ambitious young man who doesn’t who always fails all his classes because of the many activities offered by Rushmore academy, has few friends outside of an industrialist and falls in love with a teacher. The film has all the elements of a cult film, avoiding all conventionalities of commercial filmmaking and made in that original Wes Anderson style. Still treading on deadpan comedy grounds, Rushmore is also a real gem that differentiates itself from teenage angst films of the time and in fact appears too different to even be considered one."
