"One of the most under-appreciated films of the master Hitchcock, a film that starts as a normal thriller about a woman thief and develops into an n honest portrayal of psychology and troubled state of mind. This is well achieved thorough a meticulous photography, an elaborate and intelligent script unafraid to seem too daring though some would think it sexist a times, and great performances from the two leads, Herden and Connery whose sexual tension due to character outlines can be cut with a knife."
