"Openly inspired by the cult western The Legend of Frenchie King, if not by anything else for the pairing up of international stars Claudia Cardinale and Brigitte Bardot in a western, Bandidas sees the pairing up of real life friends Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz. 

Here, they play a female bank robbing duo that must combat an enforcer who is terrorizing their town. Throughout the film, it feels like the only ones having fun are the two leading ladies. To an audience, Bandidas is nothing short of dull and simply lacking in imagination. Even its attempts at humour are very weak."
