"A young man wrongly accused of a murder escapes his arrests when he realises there is little he can do to convince the investigators, and takes the daughter of the police constable with him, who will be convinced and fall in love with the man. The film retraces some of the traits of 39 Steps in a more light hearted and thoughtlessly romantic way, perhaps more appealing to a younger audience. The result is still an interesting run away story that looks more on the romanticism of the whole affair than the thriller, and as a result, rates among Hitchcock’s more genuinely romantic works."
