ALL YOURS (Je Suis à Toi) (2014) - ♦♦♦

Directed by - David Lambert

Written by - David Lambert

Starring - Jean-Michel Balthazar, Monia Chokri, Manuel Pèrez Biscayart

"An overweight homosexual bakes residing in a small town finances the trip of a younger South American boy he meets on an adult web chat and houses him, hoping that one day he will grow to love him. But he gradually gets closer to the woman who works in the bakery, and thus starts a strange and darkly comedic love triangle.

Nevertheless, the film never quite lives up to its original premise and runs out of ideas quite early on. Balthazar and Buscayart are, however, successful in making their character seem quite likeable – in fact their roles echo a type of Laurel and Hardy relationship with its childishness and downright innocence.

All Yours remains admirable for its examination of modern vice in a traditionalist setting and in its examination of the theme of loneliness and its resultant frustration. Nevertheless, the plot developments are far from being rewarding."
