"Inspired by the success of Beauty and the Beast, in 1997 the franchise was resurrected with a Christmas straight to video redux called Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. The film is more or less made up of vignettes that explore a more general and heartwarming atmosphere in the enchanted castle during the Christmas holiday. Needless to say, it is mostly absurd and only an openly commercial endeavour - as one would expect."
