2/12/2015 - The 2015 MittelCinemaFest brings the best of contemporary Italian cinema to the Czech Republic

DON'T BE BAD, MY MOTHER and SWORN VIRGIN among the titles featured in the 2015 programme of the Italian Film Festival 2015.

The MITTELCINEMAFEST (Italian Film Festival) returns to Prague, Dec 1-6 and Brno, Dec 9-11, in the Czech Republic to showcase the very best the Italian cinema had to offer throughout this past season.
 
The festival presents a vast variety of Italian movies released in Italy last years, for the benefit of Czech cinephiles and lovers of Italian culture, who will also be able to watch films of a great variety of genres.
 
Nine films in tital will be screened, and several of them have been awarded prizes at international film festivals throughout the year. The lineup will also include the last film by CLAUDIO CALIGARI, who passed away earlier this year. DON'T BE BAD premiered at this year's Venice Film Festival and was selected as the Italian entry for the Best Foreign Language category of the 88th ACADEMY AWARDS.
 
Among other highlights feature the latest work of the acclaimed TAVIANI BROTHERS, WONDEROUS BOCCACCIO and master NANNI MORETTI, whose film MY MOTHER premiered to critical acclaim at the last edition of the CANNES FILM FESTIVAL and took part in the race for the Palme d'Or.
 
Two guests will be attending the festival - actor ALESSANDRO BORGHI will attend the screening of DON'T BE BAD and actor JOSAFAT VAGNI will be introducing the film WONDEROUS BOCCASSIO.
