Rewarding and engaging, this film also went on to heavily influence other filmmakers, particularly Tarantino with his Reservoir Dogs. The Killing is also Kubrick’s first complete film, and his first major work which proved him an original talent, and introduced many of the darker themes which he would continue to examine later on in his career."
