"Adventureland is a coming of age comedy set in 1987, which tells the story of a young college graduate who must get a summer job at an amusement park where among the cast of unusual characters he also finds his summer romance. 

Aside from the film’s sense of humour and summer feeling, Adventureland is accompanied by a charming air of nostalgia. Nevertheless, it doesn’t particularly stand out among other films of the kind, and despite its sweet core it still feels like a coming of age comedy that is far too familiar, especially within the time frame in which it was released."
