"BROKEN ARROW is an action film that revolves around a man who gets his hands on a weapon of mass destruction. 

The restrictive plot gives the celebrated action filmmaker JOHN WOO enough freedom to try out an assemblage of spectacular and creative action sequences with plenty of explosions and stylized eccentricities. He does so shamelessly, but with such excess, however, that the final result is almost all about the form and seems to have little bother about characters or plot, both mishandled to the point of the whole excercise coming across as nonesensical and sometimes even laughable."
